MINDSET - What is your definition of Success?
What does your life need to look like for you to consider it a complete success?
You may already know that "Success" is one of the many abstract words that can mean different things to each of us. The meaning of the word can change just like our feelings and opinions do.
We can search for its definition and label ourselves as either successful or unsuccessful, but these labels would be based on subjective opinions rather than objective facts.
It's so subjective that our understanding of success will change multiple times as we continue to have more life experiences, such as job promotions, marriage, having children, and maintaining our health.
The truth is... success has no concrete, universally accepted standards that the total world, over eight billion people, would agree upon collectively.
So, how would you define "Success" for yourself?
Let's explore your thoughts on this topic. Before we begin, I have a question for you.

Success is often told to us, directly or indirectly, by our social circles and the media.
We see examples of success that typically include fame, status, popularity, wealth, an expensive lifestyle, large homes, travel, marriage, having children, and rock-hard abs. We are frequently told that we “should” desire these things.
But do we truly know what we want for ourselves? Are we making progress toward our own inner desires, or are we following external expectations?
Let's further explore the concept of success and determine what it looks and feels like for us.
If we don't understand what success means to us, we may find ourselves in a never-ending pursuit, like a hamster on a wheel, constantly striving for more without ever knowing what it feels like to have enough.
Even if we assess our accomplishments or luxuries and consider ourselves successful, that feeling can be very temporary. A feeling that can fade fast, leaving us back on the hamster wheel, as the sense of "enough" doesn't quite feel enough yet.

In Part 2, we will discuss success standards, examples of success guidelines, and a reminder of what determines our success.
In Part 3, we will take a look at examples of success across five areas of our lives: Community, Financial, Relationships, Purpose, and Career.
In Part 4, we will set an intention for the week and take action on our measurements for success.
